Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of NeroTask (nerotask.com). By using NeroTask, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
The service
NeroTask is a local-first task manager. You can use it without an account. Your tasks are stored in your browser unless you choose optional cloud sync.
Accounts and sign-in
Creating an account is optional. Sign-in uses email one-time codes and/or Google OAuth. You are responsible for access to the email or Google account you use to sign in.
Optional cloud sync subscription
Cloud sync across devices is a paid add-on, currently priced at $1.99/month (USD, subject to change with notice). Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card number.
- Local use of NeroTask remains free and does not require a subscription.
- Sync requires an active subscription and a signed-in account.
- Stripe sends receipts for successful charges.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Manage subscription, which opens the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated in the portal. After cancellation, cloud sync stops when your subscription becomes inactive, but your local tasks on each device remain available.
Refunds
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us through Contact support in Settings within 14 days of the charge and we will review your request. Nothing in these Terms limits refund rights that apply to you under mandatory consumer protection laws.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use NeroTask for unlawful purposes or to store unlawful content.
- Attempt to access another user’s data or disrupt the service.
- Abuse support channels, authentication, or billing systems.
Your data
You can export a backup from Settings at any time. You can delete local data from Settings → Advanced. You can delete cloud data or permanently close your account from the same Advanced settings when signed in. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle data.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep NeroTask reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change features, pricing, or these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
Disclaimer
NeroTask is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim related to NeroTask will not exceed the amount you paid us for sync in the twelve months before the claim or $50, whichever is greater.
